Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office Approves Charges in Fatal Shooting Near Senn High School
The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office (CCSAO) has approved First Degree Murder Charges for two offenders in connection with the January 31, 2024, shooting near Senn High School where a 16-year-old student was killed, and 2 other teens were injured.
Kashawn Purdue, age 17, charged as an adult, and a 14-year-old juvenile are both charged with First Degree Murder and Attempt First Degree Murder.
Purdue is scheduled for a detention hearing later today at the Leighton Criminal Courts Building and the 14-year-old juvenile will appear before a judge in Juvenile court this afternoon.
