The State's Attorney Foxx and the SAO Data Team aim to provide transparent and comprehensive case-level data regularly. Their goal is to make this information accessible and easily understandable for the entire community, without requiring advanced technical knowledge.
During State's Attorney Foxx's first year in office, the SAO released a groundbreaking Baseline Data Report. This report provided an overview of criminal prosecutions data in Cook County for the year 2016, marking the first of its kind from the Office. Building on this initiative, the SAO has now gone a step further by presenting a dynamic dashboard. This dashboard illustrates how the office manages felony cases, from the initiation of the cases to their sentencing.
This public data dashboard was produced with support from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation as part of the Safety and Justice Challenge.
