COOK COUNTY STATE’S ATTORNEY KIM FOXX RELEASES 2022 YEAR-IN-REVIEW REPORT

CHICAGO – Today, Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx released the 2022 Year-in-Review Report for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office (CCSAO). The report highlights the accomplishments and milestones achieved, in 2022, by CCSAO prosecutors, investigators and administrative teams across bureaus, divisions, units and departments. In addition, the report reflects CCSAO’s value-centered commitment to create a safer Cook County through the lens of accountability, collaboration, fairness, integrity and respect.

“To efficiently and effectively fulfill our public safety mission, it is imperative that the people we serve understand our work,” said State’s Attorney Foxx. “Since taking office, I have been committed to creating a more fair and transparent State’s Attorney’s Office, and that commitment has not wavered. As you will see in this report, our work continues to be grounded in data, evidence, and is easily accessible for everyone to see and understand.”

CCSAO’s 2022 Year-in-Review Report highlights:

  • Adult approval and conviction rates in felony review and domestic violence cases in Cook County. 
  • New grassroots, community-engagement partnerships and programs.  
  • Policy milestones initiated or supported by CCSAO in 2022. 
  • Technological advancements in administrative hiring and retention, search warrant policies and DNA evidence testing.
