  • Oct 2020: All five public case-level datasets updated on the Cook County Open Data Portal. Starting from Oct 2020, Open Data Portal will be updated quarterly. 
  • July 2020: All five public case-level datasets updated on the Cook County Open Data Portal. Besides regular updates, “Finding No Probable Cause” data is added to Initiation dataset. Detailed descriptions regarding this new field can be found in Data Glossary
  • June 2020: All four public case-level datasets updated on the Cook County Open Data Portal. Each dataset was also archived in its originally-released (c. Dec. 26, 2019) form. New release includes: new case-level dataset for Diversion and bond data added to Initiation dataset. New ‘How to Read the Data’ page' released along with Data Glossary and Felony Cases Flowchart.
  • December 2019: All four public case-level datasets updated on the Cook County Open Data Portal. Each dataset was also archived in its originally-released (c. July. 26, 2019) form.
  • July 26 2019: All four public case-level datasets updated on the Cook County Open Data Portal. Each dataset was also archived in its originally-released (c. Oct. 3, 2018) form.
  • July 17 2019: Cook County SAO Felony Cases Data Report updated to allow viewing data at the Commissioner District level. 
  • May 20 2019: Cook County SAO Felony Cases Data Report launched. 
  • January 28 2019: Broad changes to the Open Data at the SAO section of the SAO website launched, including this log.
  • October 3 2018: All four public case-level datasets updated on the Cook County Open Data Portal. Each dataset was also archived in its originally-released (c. Feb. 13, 2018) form.
  • March 2 2018: The SAO's public case-level datasets debut on the Cook County Open Data Portal; release of the 2017 Data Report.
  • October 17 2017: Release of the first edition of the 2016 Baseline Data Report.
